About Martin Landscape Design

Martin Landscape Design (MLD) began with a passion of assisting and collaborating with homeowners to create an inviting, sustainable outdoor living space. The design mission is to create an environment that incorporates hardscape, features and plant material that meets your landscape goals and vision.

Kenny Martin, owner of MLD, completed a 30+ year career responsible for park area development, operations, facility and landscape maintenance in Arizona. His collective experience included positions with agencies at the state, regional and municipal levels managing outdoor recreation, historic, cultural and natural sites. He started his career in natural resources/outdoor recreation as a park ranger, and it was at this time his interest in landscape and design was realized. He was influenced by the natural resources, plants, landforms, and colors in the statewide desert and higher elevation locations he was assigned. In addition, he has experience coordinating design review and covenant compliance for prominent homeowner associations in the Phoenix metro area.

Kenny’s formal education includes undergraduate and graduate degrees along with design and construction management experience. In addition, he holds a Desert Landscape Professional certification from the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden.
